Bio

Yaqi Wang is now pursuing her doctorate degree in piano performance and piano pedagogy at university of Kansas (D.M.A.) and study under Professor Yi-Yang Chen and Zacharia Plavin. She graduated from Tianjin Conservatory of Music (B.M.) in China in 2015; Holds a master’s degree in Temple university (M.M.) in 2017; Earned a graduate professional diploma in University of Hartford (G.P.D.) in 2021.

Yaqi enjoys her piano teaching career and considers it a great honor to be a piano teacher. She has twelve years of teaching experience. When she started teaching in her sophomore year in Tianjin, China. In 2017-2018, she worked as a teaching assistant and piano masterclasses translator in Beijing, China. She also participate many piano pedagogy activities and conference like MTNA, The American Matthay Association. As a piano performer, Yaqi had represented a number of solos and ensembled recitals in Poland, Tianjin, Qingdao, Beijing, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Texas, New Jersey, and Hartford. She also won and participated numeral piano competitions and master classes festivals in Poland, Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Philadelphia, Fort Worth and Baltimore.

Yaqi Wang is a music event planner, serving as Founder of the Concert Star Organization, Vice President of the International Classical Music Alliance (ICMA), and a member of the MTNA Pasadena Chapter. She has organized events such as the Carnegie Hall gallery concert, Japan Music Festival, and charity recitals in Pasadena and Arcadia, California.
